“Souper Bowl of Caring”- This weekend, Super Bowl weekend, our RE and School students will be collecting monetary donations in soup pots after the Masses for the “Souper Bowl of Caring” Program. This money will be donated to the local food pantry and the Good Samaritan Fund. Please be generous and help our neighbors in need. Thank you!

Confirmation News- Informational letters with reply cards were mailed home last week to our 9th and 10th grade youth; asking if they wish to participate in this year's Confirmation Preparation? If you did not get a letter and wish to participate in this year's Confirmation Prep, please call the RE/Youth Office at 736-6754 for more information. Youth who did receive a letter, please turn in your reply card ASAP so we can begin the planning process.

Confirmation Team Forming- We are forming our Confirmation Team which will work with our next Confirmation class throughout the spring and summer months of 2012. If you are interested in joining the team, please call Julie Haney at 736-6754.

Parish Mardi Gras - February 19th 8:30-11AM! Our annual Parish Mardi Gras celebration will take place on Sunday, February 19th from 8:30 - 11AM in the PLC. Everyone is most welcome to join the fun! Please save your gently used toys and household items for our white elephant sale! J This year we are also accepting gently used children's clothes for the White Elephant sale. Items can be dropped off in the PLC the week of Feb. 13th. We appreciate your support of this event that helps raise money for the Holy Childhood Association.

First Communion News- A First Communion Family Mass will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26th at the 11 AM Mass. The First Communion students will take part in this Mass and we will also hold the Rite of Enrollment for First Communion. A pitch-in meal will follow in the PLC for all first communion families. Mark your calendars and save the date. Remember a copy of your child's baptismal certificate is needed before First Communion. Questions? Call Julie at 736-6754.

Religious Education Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:15 - 10:45AM for children three years of age by August 1st; up through high school (preschool children get dismissed from class at 10:30AM). If your child does not attend a Catholic school, they should be enrolled in the RE program. Registration forms are available on the parish website ( www.saintrose.net ) or at the church entrances.
